8 Reasons Why One Plus 7 Pro Gets Better With Alcohol

One plus 7 Pro is a smartphone with excellent specifications which has recently hit the market and people are already going gaga over it. Here you will find everything that you should know about this smartphone and then you can decide whether to buy, is worth it or not.

Introduction

The One Plus Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., formerly known as One Plus, is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, founded on 16th December 2013. The founder of this company is Pete Lau, who is also the CEO of this company and Carl Pei. According to the statistics of July 2018, the company officially serves 34 countries and regions around the world. They have released a number of smartphones, Amongst other products. It is a private enterprise.

According to the statistics of 2017, it consists of over 776 employees and it is 1.4 billion US$ company. The company unveiled its first device, the One Plus One,  on 23rd April 2014. Soon enough, it became very popular in the market. Recently, it unveiled the One Plus 7 Pro on 14th May 2019 and the Chinese startup that started off as a flagship killer is, at last, competing with the big smartphone companies like Apple, Samsung, Google, and Huawei.

With the 7 Pro, One Plus decides to stick to its key strengths and tries to deliver an uncompressed phone. Till date, it has the best possible performance hardware, the Oxygen OS software is still a strong suit, and the well-calibrated AMOLED display has been improved.

Build and Design

The One Plus 7 Pro has brought forth design elements that have not been seen before, yet the overall feel is remarkably unique. A thin metal rail runs along the sides and the glass back on the 7 Pro is polished to give a silky marble effect. It is to be mentioned that this feeling is exclusive for the Nebula Blue color option only.

The Almond and Midnight Grey have regular glass feel, similar to that of the regular midnight black from the previous year. The screen measures 6.67 inches if the curved corners are taken into account, otherwise, the flat screen area measures approximately 6.4 inches.

The fingerprint sensor is still underneath the screen. This time it uses a bigger sensor from Goodix and an improved lens resulting in faster unlock speed and better consistency. The new curved AMOLED display makes a huge difference. It had Gorilla Glass 5 on both tube front and the back.

Features

The key features of the One Plus 7 Pro are:

  • Better Display
  • Triple Rear Cameras
  • Pop-up Front Cameras
  • Faster Processor and Fast Storage
  • Improved Vibration Motor
  • Warp Charge, larger battery
  • Stereo Speakers

Display

The display is what One Plus is banking on to justify its flagship claims. The news AMOLED panel is A+ rated by Display Mate, supports HDR 10+, is QHD+ (2 k) sharp, and has a 90 Hz refresh rate system-wide. The highest refresh rate means scrolling through Webpages and other transitions will be smoother. You might not appreciate this now but once you get in the rhythm of using the 7 Pro, you will notice the smooth scrolling missing in the other phones.

Even after locking the display to 90 Hz, One Plus 7 Pro will switch back to 60 Hz when the camera is used, during a phone call, watching a video and most surprisingly, when games are played.

One Plus offer three color profiles – natural, vivid, and customized. A few others, including Display-P 3, are listed under ‘Advanced’ options. Overall, the display has vibrant colors and high contrast, and it is a great screen to enjoy multimedia content.

OS and Software

The One Plus 7 Pro is the first phone in India that is powered by Snapdragon 855. Qualcomm’s current best is further backed by up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. The 7 Pro had dual lane UFS 3.0 storage. The customized Oxygen OS of One Plus which is based on Android is by far the cleanest and neatly laid out iteration of Android.

Performance

It should be mentioned that UFS 3.0 is not that big of an advantage on 7 Pro,  because of slower Random read and write speeds that do not benefit from the big UFS 3.0 bandwidth. The overall performance is excellent. Games can also be played at HDR and Ultra settings.

The 7 Pro also comes with a “10 layer liquid cooling system” that keeps the temperature under control with extensive gaming and charging the phone simultaneously. The call quality is also excellent. One plus isn’t skimping on relevant connectivity options, and Biometric unlock mechanisms work staggeringly fast.

The in-display fingerprint sensor even works with most or wet fingers. One Plus has always been synonymous with effortless performance and the One Plus 7 Pro is a perfect embodiment of that.

Camera

This is the area in which One Plus could not match up with the tier-1 competition. This year, it gets a bit closer. The 7 Pro adds a total of the sensors and ports the extra to better use. The first and foremost is the Sony IM X 586 48-megapixel sensor with wide f/1.6 aperture lens and OIS and EIS.

The next is an 8 Mp sensor with 78 mm lens for 2.2 X optical zoom, also with O I S. The third one is a 16 Mp sensor with a wide-angle lens that enables a 117-degree field of view. Adding to these, it has the ‘Ultra shot’ Image processing software that integrates HDR+. It is basically meant to improve details, clarity and dynamic range.

Battery

As OP explained last year, removing the headphone will allow fitting in more technology and a bigger battery. The 7 Pro houses a 4000 mAh battery with an improved 30 W Warp Charge. This can keep the temperature under control without reducing charging speeds.

Battery backup is something about which there won’t be any worries if you buy this phone, but that’s only if you switch to 60 Hz refresh rate and full H D+ or at least automatic resolution. At maximum display settings battery drains faster but is still manageable.
